I think both are really needed. The problem is that I just don't have the time to search out the sites. Also, my policy of not featuring a site without the owner's okay means that it takes even more time because I have to contact the owner for permission and wait to hear back before posting, but I think that policy is very important. I loved doing all that but I just can't commit that time right now. I'm sad to see the Carnival go on hiatus, but as a Canadian homelearning parent, I must admit that this site never garnered a lot of interest for me since it was the "same old" over and over again. I've seen many a carnival (not just homelearning ones) where it's the admin's job to actively seek out blogs/entries they'd like to highlight and share, NOT the blog readers themselves. This way the site remains fresh and doesn't go stale with the same people submitted their sites. The whole point of a carnival, I think, is to have different sites and entries and takes on things. <br />I think you said yourself a few posts down that this site had more entries (and I'm assuming they were varied?) when you were the one actively seeking the sites. <br />Is this something you'd consider doing again?
